Verizon Wireless formally announces the Droid 2

I’ve been seeing a lot of leaks during the past few months about the Droid 2, and it was about time Verizon Wireless made a formal announcement about it. I believe that this is one of the first Android phones that will come with version 2.2 (Froyo) pre-installed. It will also feature Adobe Flash Player 10.1, Swype, 8GB of memory, plus a microSD card with an additional 8GB more in it.

It also features a 5 Megapixel camera as well as raised keyboard, something that the original Droid did not have. Droid 2 also has a faster 1GHz TI OMAP processor and twice as much RAM than its predecessor.
